After a while without this iconic breakfast, I was amazed about the offer of this café. Beside the classic traditional they also serve plenty of verities. Different Vegetarian and even a vegan option. Starting with a tee I also had a very satisfying coffee. I highly recommend you go there.

Hard to find a decent cappuccino anywhere in Brixton, and here is no exception. Classic Starbucks quality, and if that is sufficient, then this will be more than adequate. Decent WiFi and plentiful food on the plate of the Full English Breakfast make this a decent place to visit if you want some reasonably tasty food and are not that fussy with the coffee. Hard to give this more than 3 stars overall. The owner replied to this review, stating the quality of the bean and the amount of 5* reviews. All I can say is that the cappuccino was far too foamy and poorly prepared. Not the fault of the bean nor the equipment, simply a matter of training. This is a more than adequate Starbucks quality cappuccino that, if served anywhere except the UK or the US, would not get more than 3*ever. Starbucks coffee is just not that popular on the continent, and as I live in Berlin, for instance, I can say with absolute clarity that this type of coffee preparation would not be a success. For complete fairness, I will try again when I am in the UK again as I use Brixton a lot for commuting and see if it was a one-off and simply down to one poorly trained member of staff.

Absolutely wonderful place. Delicious brunch and amazing service! Cannot recommend Cafe on the Hill enough.

Amazing staff, delicious food, one of the best french toasts I have ever tasted!

The food is very yummy and portions are big. Decent price for what you get, however I am giving them 3 stars because it took them 50 minutes to serve us the food, and when it arrived they got the order wrong. The brought the right dish back however they forgot about the mushrooms and then they charged us for it. The little details makes a huge difference, however the staff seems very nice 🙂
